About Meg Barboza: Owner, Iris Studios
Since beginning her tattooing journey in 2022, Meg has developed a signature style centred around fine line, black and grey, illustrative and microrealism tattoos. Drawing inspiration from the rich visual tradition of Chicano tattoo art, vintage animation and popular culture, she creates custom pieces that feel personal and made to last.
After discovering a passion for tattooing, Meg trained under her mentor, Chris (DoobieInk), where she learnt the foundations of her craft before continuing to shape her own style through dedication and the trust of everyone who has chosen to sit in her chair.
At Iris Studios, tattooing is never just about the artwork itself. Every design is carefully mapped to the individual to complement the natural flow of the body, so each piece feels like it belongs there.
That philosophy carries through every appointment. Rather than treating clients as passive participants, Meg's creative process is built on the belief that the best work comes through collaboration and creating space for ideas to come to life together.
Based in Narre Warren South, Meg creates from Iris Studios, where every piece is approached with intention.
